ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ18 training 17 new Aboriginal Health Workers

11 February 2022

ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ18 in partnership with TAFE NSW, are running a 1 year Certificate III in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care. Those who successfully complete the course will be certified Aboriginal Health Workers.

ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ18 is transitioning from a program-based model for delivering care and services towards an integrated health model.

Following the successful introduction of the Aboriginal Health Practitioners in 2021, this cohort will be spread across the regions to provide quality culturally appropriate care.

ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ18 is in a strong position to provide critical health knowledge, education and training to entry-level Aboriginal Health Workers. Going forward this will enable them to support and educate ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ18 patients to improve and self-manage their health.
